Stomping start to December

Some said they are bunch of people playing with trash while some think they are a pure waste of time to watch. But I am glad I spent every single cent of my RM268 to 'waste my time watching them play around with trash'!

The show started with just one performer and a broom. Yes, you read me right. A broom. And it evolve into a spectacular show of trash can banging, newspaper crumpling and sand sweeping.

The best part of the show is how they engaged the audience in a series of hand clapping, making someone like me, feel like I may just have a future in stomping. (wishful thinking eh?)

By the end of the show, I wanted to get myself two trash can lids and slide across the stage like they did.

It was a nice touch that they have a little autograph session and yes I got to meet, take a photo as well get their autograph.

Now, that's what I call a STOMPing way to start December.

Swedes, at least the co-workers of IKEA take their fika (coffee break) seriously. And we organise one on a monthly basis as a way to be together.

And this month, we turn our Fika into a Christmas lunch celebration where we had a buffet of sinfully delicious food and ginger beer. We even had a medley of Christmas songs playing in the background.

And yes, we have presents. Like, who would have a Christmas party without presents?

Christmas Party: Part 2

So the Christmas celebration continued... This time with the media. We had a tent set up right outside of IKEA and when I walked in, I felt like a Kardashian because the tent was done like one of those celebrity party style.

There were spreads of food, assortment of drinks and of course live performances which included a performance by me and my colleagues. I stayed all the way till the end of the party and waved everyone home.

The night ended with me and my colleagues chilling out as we sipped our drinks.

Yerp, you guessed it. It's T-5 today and its F-R-I-D-A-Y! There's many sides of me going on today. The sad one that is just, well, sad. The happy one that is bouncing up and down as if this world is made of cotton candy and then there's the I-don't-give-a-damn walking around flipping my hair to anyone that wanna bring me down.

Today I will be meeting my precious Batus or rather they are meeting me because they are coming over. Yeay.

Christmas Party: Part 1

Working in a Swedish company, I now celebrate Christmas, more than once too.

Part 1 was celebrated with underprivileged children from various homes. Upon their arrival, we had breakfast together. Then we had arts & craft activity followed by a photo session with Santa.

Next the kids were entertained with a short story telling before we took a break for lunch. And then, we gave them a chance to pick any toys that they like. The day soon ended with us giving them Christmas presents.

Ok so obviously if I start a countdown means, I'm going to COUNTDOWN right. With 6 days to go, I should buy/prepare all the things I need like sun block, camera, swimming suit, beach hat and of course, Aviators. Can't have an island holiday without Aviators to shade my eyes from the sun (and pretend I'm some kind of celebrity).

I'm telling myself not to be too excited but with Christmas around the corner and a holiday coming up a few days after, how is a girl supposed to NOT be excited?

PS: I said prepare. I'm not packing yet cuz its way too early still :P

Ever since I watched Eat Pray Love, I have been wanting to do that sort of trip. But of course, my financial status and commitment to work will not allow me to do all at one go. So, I shall break it in 3 parts and attempt to do them, at random order.

Part 1: Love, as in the destination she headed for love is gonna be my next holiday destination. But no, I am not going there in search of love because love is already all around me :)

I wonder if I shall bring a book to accompany me on this trip but my journey starts and ends at night so dreaming away sounds like a better solution :)

Soldier down

Ok, I’m no soldier but I swear everyday feels like a war to me because everyday I end up wounded. Normally, I will just smile it through. But hey a girl ain’t that tough (even though she says she is, she still have her weak moments).

So today, (or was it few days back) I started feeling down. Of course, I still smile, I go on with my life but there is that naggy annoying feeling. Something, anything will bring me down. And I still don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m down and is still going down.

There is something that my heart truly desires but I can’t say it out (my closest friends knows, of course). Neither I nor they can do anything about it. It is beyond our control.

Until then, I repeat SOLDIER DOWN!!

Pajamas Party

It has been a year since I have a good girly pajamas party. Growing up, commitments, life's challenges make me less of who I was.

This pajamas party is a good excuse for me to reconnect with that other side of me. Our rule is simple, put on your pajamas, cook/bake fattening sinful food (and eat of course!!!!).

Then we play board games, some cards, order sinful fattening food, watch movies, karaoke... Well you get the idea.

The last pajamas trip I had was combined with a road trip but this round we decided to spend less time on the road and more time EATING!

One of the fish in our lil aquarium is a special fish.

Her (I like to think of it as a she) fin got injured while we were frantically removing all fishes out of the aquarium to save them.

While some fishes died, she lived on with a slight permanent injury. And now she swims funny. And we love her very much. Hope you will stay strong and continue to entertain us!

Just another day

I looked forward to this day, 7 December 2011. There's nothing special about it, just the date that celebrates my existence. I made plans, nothing great, just small little ones to spend time doing things I like.

It did not go as smoothly as I pictured it in my mind. It even came to a point where I cried myself to sleep on the eve of my birthday. But after the rain, out comes the rainbow.

Birthday wishes poured in from friends and family. At work, an announcement was made (nothing special here as this is a common practice of my company) but that was followed by hugs, handshakes and calls.

My one wish that relates to someone did not come true. I wanted to cry but it's not fair to forget the other wonderful blessings I got and it is beyond my control so all I can do is to be thankful for everything else.

And with that, I wanna say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Looking forward to another year of heartbreaks, laughters and learnings...

How IKEA made my dream trip came true

On an ordinary working day, I received news that I will be heading to Singapore for meeting. I didn't think much of it until I saw the date on the calendar.

September 15!!! For Malaysia, the next day is a public holiday. This means I can extend my stay for a holiday. The best part? Part of my holiday is as good as subsidised thanks to the fact my flights are covered for my work trip + I will be getting allowance.

So after recruiting a partner in crime, arrangements were made: change of flights, add another night of accommodation, purchased access tix WITH DISCOUNT...

And I was all set. In case you don't already know.... I love IKEA!!!!

Poor old blog, receiving less and less attention from me. But I am here today and on a very selfish reason too. It’s that time of the month and this time I’m hit hard! Feels like I’m on my ultra low. And while I try to smile to whoever that looks my way, deep inside I’m frowning.

It’s time to shut the world and be in solitude. Well, not really shut the world because writing a blog is actually somewhat writing to the world.

When I blogwalk, I read postings that people made and I cringe thinking of my own postings because mine felt insignificant. I shouldn’t feel that way because when I started this blog, I wanted to capture the small things that people often overlook. Yet, with every posting I read on every blog I visited, my blog became smaller and smaller and eventually feels like it disappeared into nothingness…

Somewhat like how I feel right now. No matter from which angle I look at it. I feel insignificant. Feels like if I disappear from the face of earth today, no one will notice. Everyone has somehow contributed to the world, make an impact. And I sit here wondering what did I do? What did I contribute? Did I leave an impact on anyone’s life?

But despite of me feeling this way, I refuse to change because I know tomorrow will come and I will laugh off this feeling I have tonight. And I certainly change for no one but me…

Not a very dull Monday after all...

So much for a quiet dull Monday for me... Within minutes of leaving the house for work, mom called to tell me she saw me BumbleBee having a flat tire.

So, I was sent to work by my brother because my dad wants to take the tire to the shop. Turns out that I must have ran over a nail yesterday during my crazy day yesterday.

My lil BumbleBee is currently moving around town using the spare tire. So ugly because it has mismatch rims and the tire is DIRTY!!! Oh and the rim is like all black like ewwwww....

BumbleBee will have to bare with that look till Saturday cuz only then will my dad take it to his regular shop for it to get fixed.

Should I pray for a quiet Tuesday, will I jinx the day? Hope not... cuz I do want some quiet laid back week before going tripping with my friends...

A Trip to the ER

What was supposed to be a relaxing laid back Sunday turn into action-packed and was a little scary too.

Dad was being helpful around the house. He decided to clean the toilet using the cleaning acid that my maid normally used. Rather than briefly mopping the toilet tiles and quickly leave the toilet, my dad uses a different approach. He decided to stay in the toilet and scrub the walls.

So he inhaled the acid for God knows how long cuz by the time he came out, he was coughing. At first I thought is just a little cough. But then he started vomiting and coughing to a point he could not speak. His eyes were watery.

After some persuasion (and scolding) he agreed to go to the clinic. So off we went and immediately the doctor referred him to the hospital. Going to the clinic I was already speeding because just before we left the house I googled the side effects of inhaling cleaning acid and it stated there in a worst case scenario, it can lead to death. So when the doctor said to go to the hospital immediately, at first I was thinking for requesting an ambulance or something.

But waiting for the ambulance can take a while so driving on our own will obviously be faster. So I speed like mad cross town and took him straight to the ER. A mask was put on him and that was the last I saw him (erk, did I just make it sound like my dad died? He didn’t or if not I won’t be here blogging. Anyway…)

Though I can’t see him because we had to wait outside, I can hear him coughing less and eventually he came out smiling like that foolish old man he is. And I swear it felt like finally I started breathing. I was acting tough the entire time for I know my mom is more scared than me but deep down inside, only God knows.

Doctor wanted him warded for a night for observation but typical of my dad to say he prefer to rest at home and since he’s not in a chronic state, the doctor released him with some medicine supply to take home.

Enough drama for now. Tomorrow I am happy to go back to my routine work…

I attended a wedding in Seremban today. It was bright and sunny so I thought I can wear my special baju kurung. It is special because not a drop of water can touch it or the colour will bleed. (Looks gorgeous but a pain to wear out in roofless public!!)

Anyway, I put it on and off we headed to Seremban. Slight pass Nilai, the cloud turns grey and as we inch closer to Seremban, raindrops started to fall. Aarrrrggghh!! It got heavy and I was like noooooo…..

When we arrived it was raining but the rain has slowed down so we circled the area few more minutes while waiting for the rain to completely stop. Then we went for the wedding and while we were waiting, the sun disappeared behind some dark looking clouds.

We quickly finished our meal and of we head back to KL.

Lesson of the day? DO NOT BUY THAT MATERIAL EVER AGAIN!!!!

Beach Vacation

I've been sick since I came back from a beach vacation in nearby PD to celebrate my dad's auntie's 55th anniversary.

We got ourselves with a beach view to die for... This is the view from the house. Like you literally open your doors to the sea. I long to have this kind of house one day...

We went early Saturday morning bringing some food we make at home and more to be cooked in PD cuz we are having a BBQ beach party YO! (No idea why I added yo to the posting)

Anyway, seeing the ocean calling me, I dive right in and spent hours floating and splish splashing about. The only reason I got out cuz it was getting late and I had to prepare for dinner. That night we had a feast, with cakes, satay, bbq chicken, seafood and nasi lemak. It was east meets west or whatever it is.

So was it worth it to fall sick after? Of course! Just please lemme recover before my Penang Weekend Holiday with my troops...

Birthday Dinner

Last night was a blast.

It was a bit of a rush to beat the traffic (and still I got caught in the traffic nonetheless) but I didn't arrive too late. Got myself a good seat and I ordered my drinks and food.

Then it was a night of laughter and happiness. The birthday boy got cupcakes and was so cute to cut into tiny pieces to share with everyone. Then he shared his brownies too.

Watching the love-hate friendship between him and his best friend was funny. They were quarreling like some kind of long-time married couple.

The night ended with a group photo outside the venue.

Although the dinner was just yesterday, already I'm looking forward to the next one...

Hazey Situation

First it rained every single possible evening. Now it is scorching hot. While it is known that Malaysia’s climate is categorised as equatorial, we somehow have summer season.. And supposedly the heat wave will last till September.

But seems like summer didn’t last long this time with the return of the haze. Should we be thankful? No. Shah Alam, Selangor recorded the highest Air Pollutant Index (API) at 60. While it is still ok, we are not far from the unhealthy level. An area's air quality reaches an unhealthy level when its API hits 101, a very unhealthy level at 201 and hazardous when it exceeds 301.

So, drink plenty of water, stay indoors as much as you can AND PLANT MORE TREES! This may not help now but it will in the future…

Lemme rephrase… Of all the things I hate (now that sounds a wee bit better eh?) I hate it when people say I DON’T KNOW and not do anything about it.

Not knowing things is common and I won’t blame you on it. But when you tell me you don’t know and does nothing about it? That’s lame. Super lame cuz there are so many ways to get your hands on information. You can ask around, you can surf the net or sometimes, you can use that little thing in your head called THE BRAIN.

So the next time you want to answer I DON’T KNOW and does nothing about it after, think again because I shall not be held responsible for any sarcastic responses that escaped my mouth after that.

I took my mom to IKEA for a little shopping trip as some of the SUMMER RANGE has already arrived. The moment we went down to the Market Hall, I grab a bag because I know she wanted some glasses.

Sewingly Serious Part II

I've mention about my crazy idea to make my own clothes. And I've been doing my research. From surfing the web, reading blogs of those who have been making their own clothes as well as experimenting with paper to make skirts.

I am one step closer to deciding if I should get my own sewing machine. Today, after work, I went to check out the sewing machine. I found out that if I were to buy cash, I can get a 5% rebate. Good deal.

There are two models which I have my eyes on. Both are around the same price range which is below than RM800.

This model comes with 7 stitch patterns and a built in 4 step buttonholer that sews buttonholes of any length. It can stitch up to 5.0mm stitch width. The retail price is RM745.

For an additional RM50, I can get this model that has 15 built-in stitch pattern. Whether I will use or not the additional stitch pattern is not something to be asked. Instead, the difference is only RM50 and is a newer model than the cheaper one.

I am yet to decide whether I will go ahead with my plan or not. I'm gonna sleep on it for a few more nights before deciding.

Flower Power

Today, I was telling Adie about the flowers my mom bought on Saturday. He told me to take the photos and post it on my blog.

When I arrive home, I realised that I LEFT MY IPHONE CABLE AT THE OFFICE!!! Which means no Internet for me because my iPhone is low on batt and will probably die and if iPhone dies, no Internet tethering!!

So, off I go to office again to take back my cable and snap some photos and now here I am writing a post about the flowers.

In total my mom spent RM70 - 80 for the flowers, a big and cute cup-pot and the green stuff to put into the cup-pot so that the flowers would stay.

Now, that is what I call a bargain!!

Little Miss

Today, I am pleasantly surprised when I went to Google.

See, today they are celebrating Roger Hargreaves 76th birthday. Roger who?

Well, he was a British author and illustrator of children's books, notably the Mr. Men and Little Miss series, intended for very young readers. However, I think he is more widely known for all those T-shirt that people often wear.

And in celebration of his birthday, Google have a few doodles, 16 doodles to be precise, made after the Mr Men and Little Miss series.

Music pollution

Have you listened to the radio lately? By default the radio at the office is tuning into Hitz FM. I don't really mind their song selections.

But recently they have been playing The Lazy Song sang by their own DJ. I'm guessing it's Ean and JJ.

That remake song is stupid and what makes it more annoying is they play it frequently on air. It is so annoying that I feel like slapping them.

I think they should stick to being a DJ and playing songs from real artist. Never ever again should they attempt to sing.

Paper work

For the past few days, actually since my shopping spree, I've been itching to make my own skirts and dresses. But the price of a sewing machine is holding me back so.... I decided, let's try to make them using paper. Ok, no I am not gonna wear skirts made of paper. I am not (that) crazy.

But what I mean is experiment with paper. So I started my little experiment with some papers...

Which I cut into a circle. From my blog surfing, I learn that to make a full skirt this is what you need.

Because this is paper, I can't exactly sew anything so no hem or waistband or whatever else. In fact, there was no precise measurement taken at all. And in order to attempt the skirt look, I folded it.

And TA-DA! This is my model modelling my paper skirt. My model's name is Adie. Doesn't this resembles a full skirt? I wish, I made it bigger so that I can try it on me...

Ok... off I go now attempting a bigger (my size) skirt...

Cookie Monster

Me love cookies. And food actually. So not much of a surprise when I said yesterday I bought this cookies from IKEA.

It comes in two tasty flavours, orange and cappuccino (okay I lied. I don't know how cappuccino tastes like cuz I don't take cappuccino) but the orange one is superbly tasty. So tasty, that I went to get my second box today. And it is shaped like a flower. So cute!

The added bonus point is... IT IS SO AFFORDABLE! It's selling for RM4.90 per box. As for me who works at IKEA, I obviously paid lesser!

I also bought some chocolates.. So heavenly...

So my dear friends, make your way to the Swedish Food Market in IKEA and grab a box (or two) home!

Skirt Crazy

I am skirt crazy! I have this need, this drive to make my own skirts…. So I’ve been searching, by searching I mean googling on making my own skirt. And what I discovered makes me want to try this out even more.

But there is something that is holding me back. I don’t own a sewing machine. When I searched for the price, I nearly fainted! The cheapest sewing machine can get me like 10 low/medium priced skirts.

But realisticly thinking.. that is somewhat a good investment BUT only if I do make use of the sewing machine.

I asked the opinions of my friends, some asked me to go ahead because they think I can do this. While some does think that I may not follow through.

Why oh why must the sewing machine be so expensive? Is there a cheap kids version that I can buy to play around with?

Or mebbe even some who is generous enough to donate or sale it at a discounted price to me?

It's all about the HAIR

Lately, I’ve been told that I have nice hair.. If you think I’m making this up too bad. In fact, you can stop reading now because I’m sharing how and why my hair looks nicer now.

Here goes… HIMALAYA. I have been using the hair care products from Himalaya. This is the shampoo I’m currently using. According to the product info, it is a breakthrough 2-in-1 formula that provides root nourishment and strengthens weakened hair. It also conditions and improves hair texture to reduce hair fall due to breakage.

On top of using shampoo, I’m also using its protein conditioner. The one that I’m using is a gentle formulation that conditions your hair and keeps your hair silky smooth, soft and tangle-free. It nourishes your hair with natural proteins giving it the shine of health too.

I have been spending (well, no surprise there) and some of the things I bought, I feel like I can make it.

OK maybe I am being somewhat ambitious.. but don’t you think I’m capable of learning how to sew my own simple dresses and skirts?

Maybe it’s true that I can’t sew but how can I know that if I don’t try?? I don’t believe in learning from other people’s mistakes because no two people are the same. Things that may not work for someone may just work for me and the only way to discover that is by trying it out.

Moo Talk

Just two weeks ago, I introduced my new baby moo, Bruno Moos @ Lat. And on Thursday evening, I received news of another addition to my moo family.

Today, I made a trip to visit her. She is yet to be named but here’s a look at her...

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE GUY HIRED TO REPLACE ME AT MY OLD JOB RESIGNED? AFTER ONE MONTH?

I actually have found out about this for a while but only now did I decide to blog about it because I met with a few friends and we had a good laugh over this.

I still remembered the words said to me when I said that I may consider resigning, if my transfer request is not approved. In her exact words, “it’s a risk I’m willing to take…” By now, if she has some senses in her, she should know that the risk she took, hit her in the face HARD.

But in some twisted way, I am thankful for the things that have happened because now I am a happier me working at a better place.

Retail Therapy

It's been a while since I shopped... and with all the expenses that I have to do (but none for me).. I get more and more depressed to a point I said to myself....

ENOUGH!!!!

As in enough of just spending for others! Time to put yourself before others!!! With that in mind, I went shopping on Saturday AND SUNDAY!

The end result I bought:

> 2 tops
> 1 dress
> 1 skirt
> 1 necklace
> and erm... 4 bras :P

My CROWNING experience

The trip to the dentist wasn’t so bad (but it still wasn’t like a trip to the mall)

The diagnosis is.. my teeth is sick.

To save it, I need to do root canal and crowning. Crowning? Wow. So my teeth will be royalteeth? LOL. Lame….

I must admit I am somewhat excited because my teeth will definitely look prettier after I have gone through all this pain.

Time to bring back the motto I lived by when I had my braces on, NO PAIN NO GAIN.

So, looks like I will be frequenting the dentist for the next four weeks....

My Chipped Tooth

Eeek!

I was eating my yummey sandwich from Bakery Moments (after chomping on a cupcake from Cupcake Chic), when I felt like something was stuck in between my teeth.

I went to the toilet to remove it and a tiny piece of my tooth fell out.

OMG! I chipped my tooth.

I panicked. I thought this kind of things happened to older people due to lack of vitamins and such. When I looked at my teeth, if that chipped tooth is removed, it will be very obvious when I smile.

I started googling about chipped tooth. I asked my friends, my dentist friends.

Apparently, chipped tooth is common. More common than I know but many, like me are oblivious to it and panicked when it happened.

Some people are fine with their chipped tooth but some people will suffer lack of self esteem.

Minor chipped tooth can be fixed with a quick visit to the dentist. But more severe chipped tooth may require more treatment like crowning and such.

My appointment is tomorrow morning. And… despite of wearing braces for few years, I’m ~~scared~~ no strike that. I’m terrified of the dentist.

I am also afraid that the dentist might say, “Looks like we have to pull this tooth out.”

Aaaarghhhh!!!

A Date with Bruno Mars

Eeek....!!! I just saw Bruno Mars in person and OMG!

His voice is just so so so sweet. And he can seriously sings his way to any girl's heart. Well, to my heart at least.

Yes, I'm in love with Peter Gene Hernandez (that's his real name) and I think I wanna marry you...

He sang many of his already famous songs but I am super happy that he sang Liquor Store Blues.

OK OK.. I was happy he sang his slow sensual songs too. Why wouldn't I? I paid for it and it was worth it!

During the concert, this one guy used my shoulder as a tripod. While normally, I will be pissed, this time I didn't. He smells good. Ha! Definitely there is a catch. And erm... when I got tired, I lean back on his chest and erm.. (gosh I'm gonna sound like a pervert) his chest felt solid and nice. So it was a win-win situation I say...

My kind of sandwich

Sandwich for me sandwich for you..

I’m so into sandwiches lately. Egg, chicken, salmon and of course my all time favourite.. TUNA.

I eat them for breakfast, lunch, tea and even dinner. I’m sure everyone knows how to make a sandwich. But I’m still sharing my recipe anyway..

Ingredients:
A) Tuna
1 can of tuna (flakes in water for me please)
1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
Onion (the more the better cuz I love onion)
Salt & pepper

B) Sandwich
Two pieces of bread
2 pieces of lollo bionda (it’s a type of lettuce that I like)
8 slices of tomato

I usually start with washing the lollo bionda along with the tomato and set it aside to let it dry while I prepare my tuna.

Next, I peel and chop the onions. I don’t chop it too fine cuz I like it when I bite into the onions. Then, in a bowl I combine all the A ingredients.

Now, it’s time to put your sandwich together. On one slice of bread, arrange 1 piece of lollo bionda, 4 slices of tomato. Scoop about two tablespoon of your mixed tuna and spread them evenly. Layer the tomatoes, lollo bionda and bread.

And we are done!

Driving to work

Something uber funny happened this morning during my drive to work… Some dude driving a kancil was trying to be a good Samaritan (or so he thinks) by allowing few cars to go first. This wouldn’t be a big problem IF:

1) there are no cars behind him
2) it’s not during a rush hour
3) we are all not queuing at the longest most packed traffic light
4) those car that wanted to go first aren’t cutting queue

I was right behind his car and I had to watch this dude let one by one car go through. So, you can imagine how angry I was. By the third car, like on auto-pilot my hand reached for the honked.

He looked at me through his rearview mirror and started mouthing words and still he let other cars get in the queue. So I honked and pointed how he’s letting other cars through. Then the light turn red and all other cars passed except for him and me of course.

I was furious. And he had the nerve to show me a finger. I was tempted to get down and let him have a piece of my mind. But that may not be a wise thing to do. So, I raised my finger to him back. Ha!

I mouthed some words too and even indicated he has no brains. I can tell he was angry at me. Well, the feeling is mutual. And I’ve perfected my deathly stare. So I stared at him till the lights turned green. Then, the moment I could overtake him I did, and he showed me the finger again. So, I showed him my finger for one last time before I drove off.

Maybe some people would say that I am wrong but I don’t care. That dude is being kind at the wrong time, wrong place and to wrong people. Myself and others behind him queued, waited for our turn to go and some uneducated barbarians happily cut into the queue while some nincompoop thinks he’s doing a good deed by letting cars go through first.

Reflecting on what happened today, I wasn’t proud giving that dude the finger but I sure was happy honking him and telling him he has no brains..

A Letter to Drivers

Dear BAD drivers,

Whether you are a driver queuing AND allows people cut in or a driver cutting queue, you are GUILTY!

I hate you passionately. Other people are in a rush too, to get to work or interview or whatsoever, but they still queue! Then you happily come along and squeeze yourself in or let other cars squeeze in. There should be a law to allow your type of people to be killed on the spot.

With your species gone from the face of the earth, the road will be a peaceful place for everyone to drive. And perhaps, even no traffic jam.

People in Japan in the middle of crisis who’s fate is unknown can queue for their petrol/food, so why can’t you? Are you uneducated or just plain barbaric?

A Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,

Let me start by saying I adore kids and I too believe that kids should be allowed to express themselves. But of course, there’s a place and time for it.

So, when you take your kids out for a show, please take care of your kids. If you are too stupid to know what are the do’s and don’t, here’s a guideline..

Don’t
Don’t let them scream next to my ear.
Don’t let them kick my chair.
Don’t say things like “at this age they are really starting to appreciate a good show’ to your friend when for a fact all your kid does is scream like a mad chicken the entire show.
Don’t let your kids knock my head.

Do
Make sure your kids sit in their seats.
Tell them to be quiet or speak softer because other people are trying to watch the show.
Hold their cup, bottle so that it does not spill or fall on other people.
Strap them to their chair if you have to.
If your kids are just difficult, keep them at home in a cage or whatever. (OK, saying that is mean. Sorry). Don’t take them out to shows. Take them to a zoo where they can play with the monkey (since they behave like one) or something.

I don’t blame the kids for whatever they are doing because they don’t know any better. But parents you should know better and you should teach your kids what is right and what is wrong.

And no, your kids are not adorable when they scream “Hi Ariel!” repetitively when actually it is Simba skating across the rink.

Today, I was able to remain calm. The next time I may just turn and slap the parents for not controlling of their kids.

It's April already

Wow... It has been more than a month... OK... today I will do some spring cleaning so that it will be all dolled up for my next posting...

April Fool has always been known as the day to pull pranks on people. But I must say the 2011 April Fool is far better than I thought it will be. It all started with me finding out about the RM6.99 fish and chips by Manhattan Fish Market.

That is superbly good followed by dinner with some of my ex-colleagues. It was wonderful to meet them again. And boy, they sure have lots of stories which just confirms my decision to resign was a good one indeed.

BTW... It’s already April. OMG! *faint...
